Mugshot Released Of Gunman Accused In Wildwood Shooting That Wounded Bystander (Update)

Police in Cape May County have released the mugshot for a man wanted in a shooting that critically injured an innocent bystander, authorities said.

The Wildwood Police Department shared the mugshot for William C. Hoyle in a Facebook post at 2:56 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10. An arrest warrant was issued for Hoyle in the shooting on the 3800 block of Pacific Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.

A victim only described as an innocent bystander was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus. The victim was listed in critical condition, according to a joint news release from Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Wildwood police Chief Joseph Murphy.
